Monetizing Your Blog: Adsense and Amazon

"Hey, Cie!" you say. "I've heard about monetizing my blog! How do I do that?"
The absolute easiest way, if you're on the Blogger platform, is to activate Google Adsense.
Adsense does all the work for you. All you do is choose the Adsense widget from your layouts menu and fill in the simple form. You can choose to have ads in the sidebar, at the bottom of your posts, or both.
On a smaller blog like mine, Adsense can take up to a week to become active while Google's bots decide what to advertise on your blog. From there on out, unless you violate terms of service, Google will run ads on your blog.
With Adsense, you can't choose your ads. Thus, even though I am opposed to diet culture and weight loss schemes and will never promote such, I may sometimes see diet and weight loss ads from my Adsense widget, and I will roll my eyes. Adsense offers more pros than cons for me, so I keep it active.
With Amazon, I need to be proactive. I have to select the widgets and links I'm going to put in my posts or my sidebar. I have to generate sales, or Amazon will shut down my affiliates account. This is a bit of a pain, but I'm giving it a go. My blog is still pretty small, so I'm honestly not sure how it will work out. However, the program is free to join, so it's worth a shot.
Best of luck on your ventures!

BookBrowse Seeking Reviewers

https://www.bookbrowse.com/reviewers/index.cfm/fuseaction/apply

Wish for me to break body parts, Delivered ones! I just applied to join Book Browse's team of reviewers. You can too by clicking the little banner above.
I learned about this opportunity via the Real Ways To Earn Money blog.
In other news, I need a new mouse for my laptop. Mine went belly up, and it's driving me bonkers to have to use the touch pad.
The body shop finished the work on the Ford Fusion today, so both of my cars are back up and running. If I can make the wretched heap of bolts that is the Forester last until the Fusion is paid off, perhaps I can start looking into a nice hybrid to help me along with my delivery work.
Forward we go!

Product Review: Time-Savers: Reynold's Wrap

Disclosure: This is an unsolicited personal opinion. I have received no compensation from the manufacturers of Reynold's Wrap for this post.

I talk a fair bit about directly saving money, but time is money, and saving time is important as well.
Often, there are off brands which work as well or better than name brand products, but sometimes it's worth spending the little bit extra to get the name brand.
This is definitely the case with Reynold's Wrap.
I use Reynold's Wrap to line casserole dishes and baking pans. There is even a nonstick version, but the regular version with a bit of cooking spray works well too.
Some of the off brands are flimsy, and I've even found myself having to pick bits of foil out of the food after serving it. As for easy cleanup, it doesn't work so well when the foil tears easily.
With Reynold's Wrap, there is little to no leakage--none more often than not. I simply lift the foil out of the pan and there's no need for soaking and scrubbing. The pan can be quickly rinsed off and put away.
I stock up on Reynold's Wrap when it's on sale at the store, or I buy the big discount rolls at Boxed.com
Reynold's also makes slow cooker and roasting pan liners, which are a real time-saver as well.
Don't short-change on quality. It's worth spending the minimal amount extra to get the name brand in this case.

Work From Home Reminding Patients to Take their Meds

You don't need to remind me to take this one!

Disclosure: I am not an employee or affiliate of this company. I am receiving no fees for sharing this information.

Good Start is a program from Pleio which patients sign up for at their pharmacy to help them establish a good routine with their medications.

The company needs independent contractors to call patients who have signed up for the program.
You will be working from home.
You will need either a land line or a computer capable of taking VOIP calls.
You will need to be able to pass a background check.

More details are available at Pleio's website.

For reasons unknown to me (I don't know why this is so, and asking me why it is so won't give me sudden, brilliant insight into an answer) the company will NOT hire anyone with a medical license, i.e. doctors, nurses, EMS or pharmacy personnel. Although I am not currently working as a nurse, I am a licensed LPN and thus not eligible to apply for this job.

To find out more and apply, visit the company's website.

If you get a job with Pleio and are feeling generous, you can drop me a tip. My paypal email is chartley65@gmail.com
